So my first blog post. Lets start with a review of my favourite contemporary fantasy author.
A satisfying end to a well thought out and innovative series. Considering it's Sanderson, a unique universe was to be expected but still we are shown lots of glimpses of the earth we are familiar with, in this dystopian series. The plot of this book move at a fast pace and there are always twists and revelations waiting just around the corner. Also, the series loses none of its humour and the banter between David and Megan is fresh and warming as always.
I rate the book at 3.5 stars which is numeric for a good but not overly excellent book.
I dock 1 star for the rather tame and easy ending which in my opinion could have been better. After all the adrenaline rush the big boss fight feels a bit short of the expectations. Also it feels as if an attempt was made to flesh out the characters but the could not do justice, maybe because he wanted the book to be a bit short. And I dock half a star, because I feel Sanderson has writen better series than this, so acc. to the Theory of relativity, every object(this book) lags behind the speed of light(5 stars) which IMO is Stormlight archive and Mistborn cycle. ;)
Nevertheless, a great job Mr Sanderson. Thanks .. :)
